Motoring offences

Legal Aid is generally not available in certain circumstances, i.e. minor motoring offences, we therefore charge a fixed fee for such Court attendances between £500 and £2,000 for private representation, depending on the type of offence and court location.

Our fee structure is as follows:

1. First Hearing/Single Hearing at the Magistrates Court within local travelling distance of our offices ( 40 mile radius).
This will include Guilty Pleas and cases that are further adjourned for subsequent hearings.
£500.

2. Cases listed for Trial at the Magistrates Court within local travelling distance to our offices.
( 40 mile radius)
Half Day listing – £600 – £1000
Full Day Listing – £1000 – £1500

3. Cases listed for Exceptional Hardship applications and Special Reasons applications.
Within Local travelling distance of our offices (40 mile radius).
£600 – £850

4. Cases listed before the Crown Court including Appeals. Within Local travelling distance of our offices (40 mile radius).
£1000 – £2000

Please note that our abovementioned fees do not include the following:

  • The instruction and engagement of expert witnesses;

  • Our engagement in taking witness statements from any defence witnesses;

  • Any applicable advice and assistance for Special Reasons;

  • Any applicable advice and assistance surrounding an Appeal;

  • Our disbursements (typically consisting of mileage and parking)
